Architecture is a process of discovery and problem solving. Discovery of client, of site, of program, of materials, of craft.

Problem solving is not only reactive, but proactive. Service is responding and communicating effectively and quickly. Anticipating and interpreting a client's needs into built form is a process.

Design should be approached holistically, and the lines of design should be blurred to incorporate many fields and specialties. The architect should wear many hats.

Carter received his Master's degree in architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is Licenced in Georgia and Washington states. He has worked in various sized firms, on diverse projects as designer and project manager.
